When the Malaysian team arrived in South Africa, they were quite expectant on hot days, long roads, lots of sun and a great South African experience. What they were not expecting was a serious lack of hydrogen.

Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology is almost unheard of in South Africa. For this reason, South Africa's limited number of suppliers are only used to supplying hydrogen to scientific institutions. This is very different to supplying hydrogen to a mobile racing team. If only Afrox were to see this trailer, they'd think it's a bomb on wheels.

Fortunately, for the Malaysian team, the hydrogen was sourced through a third party meaning that Afrox actually had no idea that the hydrogen was being trailered 1400 km around South Africa on public roads where it posed a safety threat to road users, the Malaysians themselves, the driver, the bike, and at the end of the day, the whole bloody Solar Challenge and the country, national security and my baby sister as a whole.
